CHRYSANTHEMUMS AND DEATH

See this content in the original post

For the past few months, I've been using a meditation method called "The Inner Guide Meditation" by Edwin. C. Steinbrecher that I first read about in this post by Balthazar. It is a system of meditation/active imagining where you meet an Inner Guide and then -with your Guide's help- you meet the archetypes from the Tarot in order to balance their energies in your sphere and cause inner and outer changes. There is a lot more to it than that (like working with pairs and groups of planets with difficult aspects in your natal chart for example) and if you are interested I recommend buying the book and find out more.

I haven't worked with this method as much as I would have like to, but in the few months I've been using it I've had many interesting dreams where the archetypes appeared to show me something or give me a message of some kind. I've also had to do a few crazy things to please the archetypes (one of the things you ask them is what they need from you in order to work with you and be your friends) like leaving copies of specific tarot cards in specific places, eating specific foods, putting stuff under trees, running SETI@home (I still don't know how searching for extraterrestrial intelligence is going to help me build a better relationship with The Tower but I run the program anyway) etc.

I've also been surprised at how some of the archetypes appeared to me. The Sun for example appears to me like Cinderella. The Magician looks like the 10th Doctor -complete with his T.A.R.D.I.S and sonic screwdriver- and (currently although not permanently) lives on a spaceship hovering over Earth.

So about a week ago, I decided it was time to meet Death. I've been experiencing a few inner issues that led me to believe that working with Death would be beneficial to me at this time. He looked exactly the way he looks in the Rider- Waite tarot deck. He didn't talk to me at all, and it took me a while to figure out that he doesn't talk. He communicates by conjuring a vortex of images in mid-air. To make a long story short, he asked me to get a bouquet of seven white chrysanthemums. I am supposed to keep them until they die and are completely dry, and then leave them in specific places near my apartment.

Did you know that white chrysanthemums are what people buy for funerals?

I didn't!

I went to get the flowers today and the guy asked me if someone in the neighborhood died, cause he had nearly sold out of white chrysanthemums. When he saw my puzzled expression, he explained that people usually get white chrysanthemums when they have to go to a funeral.

I got my flowers and left, and on my way back home it suddenly hit me: all the famous people that have died recently (Bowie being the one whose death affected me the most), all the people I have called lately who told me they just lost someone, all this started right after I talked with Death for the first time.

I'm certainly not saying that all these deaths are the result of my little chat with Death, obviously not. But it's one of those times when the alignment of my inner world with outer events truly astonishes me.
